WHEREAS the date of December 7, 2022, will mark the 81st anniversary of the attack on the United States, which was carried out at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
This military assault resulted in the deaths of over 2,400 American soldiers and citizens, as well as the injuries of over a thousand others, and the resulting destruction was tremendous.
In addition to the loss of infrastructure on the base, this military assault resulted in the destruction of 20 American naval vessels, including eight battleships of the United States of America.

As a direct consequence of this military operation, over 2,400 United States service members and civilians were killed, and over 4,000 more were injured.
The attack on Pearl Harbor forced the United States to enter World War II, during which the courageous men and women of the Armed Forces fought valiantly to defeat tyranny, secure their nation, and protect the freedoms of all people.
This day serves as an important reminder of the extraordinary service and selfless sacrifice of the nation’s armed servicemen and women, who put their lives on the line and risk their own personal safety to protect their nation from harm and preserve the values and liberties of which their nation was founded.
Members of military services voluntarily put themselves in harm’s path in order to safeguard the ideals that we hold, and the degree of gratitude that we owe them is not in any way, shape, or form capable of being judged in any manner at all.
